Helicopter Medevac Rescue Program - AD&D return to top
Condition of coverage: You must be registered as an active, paid member, on record at the time this service is requested and/or needed. Active coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of the Master Policy. Active member and their legal spouse or dependent under 19 years of age or student enrolled full time under age 23 are eligible.
In the event a participant suffers from a Certified Injury that requires Emergency Medical Transportation by helicopter in accordance with local EMS protocols, the program will reimburse the participant up to a maximum of $4,000.00 per occurrence. There is an aggregate limit per accident of $ 40,000. Reimbursement includes expenses incurred from the cost of Medically Necessary or Life Threatening Helicopter Transportation from the scene of an accident to the nearest medical facility capable of treating the injuries or from one medical facility to another medical facility. Claims for Medically Necessary transports from one medical facility to another medical facility are subject to review by Participating Vendor’s Medical Officer.
- One benefit will be payable per occurrence
- Benefit in excess of all other valid collectable insurance
